Menopause

As women age and approach peri-menopause, or changes in menstruation, signs and symptoms of menopause frequently appear.  These include hot flashes, night sweats, weight gain, excess belly fat, hormonal or sleep changes and emotional or mood shifts.  These hormone imbalance symptoms, and others such as fatigue, memory loss, vaginal dryness, loss of libido and joint pain, can make life difficult.  A hysterectomy will put women in early or surgical menopause.

Potential Problems with Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT):

Taking natural or synthetic estrogen, progesterone or thyroid hormones may have undesirable side effects.  Often these are given in too high doses, leading to estrogen dominance symptoms such as breast tenderness.  The liver, which must process or deconjugate these hormones to be properly excreted, can get backed up.  Use of supplemental estrogens, whether earlier in life as the birth control pill or later in life as HRT, can also suppress the pituitary and cause an adrenal or cortisol stress response imbalance.  Prolonged use of hormones, natural or synthetic, can block receptor sites, causing menopause symptoms.   Cell proliferation can occur, possibly leading to cancer down the road.

How does Annie treat menopause?

"At my natural medicine clinic, I use individualized  diagnostic  techniques to isolate organ and hormonal deficiencies in your  body.  I spend quality time with each patient, over an hour the first visit.  I  recommend natural products such  as herbs and homeopathic remedies to  ease menopause symptoms and help you feel  better.  Other nutrients and  occasionally  small amounts of bio-identical hormones are recommended as  needed."

IN AS FEW AS 1-2 VISITS, MANY WOMEN HAVE  REPORTED TOTAL  ALLEVIATION OF SYMPTOMS!
